I’ll start with Christmas Eve first. Growing up we have ALWAYS done a Christmas Eve buffet. We just buy whatever food we want and eat together as a family. Watch a Christmas movie, and play board games. It’s so fun and I’m so glad we’re still doing this tradition!
After eating and board games we let the kids open their jammies and then take a billion photos (they’re such good sports)! Haha, this year my mom also played a cute little video of children explaining Christmas and Jesus Christ in their own words and it was adorable! The boys didn’t pay attention too well (except for the oldest) but it was cute and my mom loved it!
Christmas was wonderful this year! I didn’t take too many photos and instead, just enjoyed the day with family! Waking up Christmas morning without any kids is always different. We woke up at like 8:00 and then helped my mom clean the kitchen and prepare breakfast before my siblings came over with their kids.
We also do a Christmas morning breakfast as a family and I love it so much! We let the kids open their gifts and then let them go play!! Us adults open our gifts to each other and then head to the table to eat breakfast. Usually after a few minutes the kids either come upstairs on their own or we call them up to eat!
We had ebleskivers, quiche, bacon, sausage, orange juice, milk… it was all sooo yummy! Gosh, I love Christmas breakfast! We cleaned up after, enjoyed our presents, put on a Christmas movie and played some games too! I didn’t sleep AT ALL, staying at my moms. So I took a nap for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. Later that night we went to visit Bradys moms family and then went to his dads house after! I love being with Bradys family, so it’s always a treat when everyone gets together!
After a very long day, we headed home and enjoyed the night playing the Bob Ross game with my mom before heading to bed. We love my mom so much and we are so grateful to her and all she’s done for us! Also, the Bob Ross game is fun, go get it!!
Merry Christmas y’all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!
